O ORDINANCE NO. 3 \ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OB A STUDEBAKER BIG CHIEF TRACTOR AND FIRE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY THERE- TO AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF #2.480.00 FOR THE . PURCHASE OF SAID TRACTOR EQUIPMENT„ BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Section I That the Board of Public Safety of the City of South Bend be authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Scherman- Schaus�Freeman Company for the purchase of one W -8 Studebaker Big Chief Tractor, Chassis 165* wheel base, with the following equipment: 8,25 dual rear and single front tires. Long running boards and rear fenders. Extra heavy rubber insulated battery. Seat cushions, body etc., similar in design and construction as on the old chassis, for the sum of $2,480.00. Section II That the sum of #2 480.00 be in the same as hereby appropriated from the General kund-of the City of South Bend to account Q-17 of the Fire Department for the purchase of the equip- ment described in Section I.
