What is the commitment your firm makes to minority employment during the next five <br />years? <br />The South Bend Clinic is an equal opportunity employer. The South Bend <br />Clinic does however follow a strategy to attract minority candidates for positions <br />and will continue to do so during the next five (5) nears as the Clinic pursues its <br />expansion efforts. The South Bend Clinic is committed to minority recruitment <br />and hiring in all its offices and positions. The Clinic provides externship <br />opportunities for local students in medical training programs offered by such <br />institutions as Inv Tech and Brown Mackie colleges. Clinic employment <br />recruitment strategy relies heavily on media (newspaper and internet) as <br />opposed to walk in applicants. Additionally, the Clinic commits to targeting <br />minority recruitment and hiring opportunities through area publications and <br />internet web sites specifically designed for and targeting minority populations and <br />new efforts with the Workforce Development Department. In recent hiring, the <br />Clinic has specifically targeted individuals of Hispanic origin and speaking skills <br />to as to better serve an increasing Hispanic population seeking medical care. <br />Additionally the Clinic will continue its relationship with Logan Center, providing <br />employment opportunities for the disabled. <br />16. No building permit has been issued for construction on the property in connection with <br />the improvement in question as of the date of filing of this petition.
