ORDINANCE NO. 3114 <br />AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF <br />PUBLIC WORKS OF TIT CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ACTING AS THE BOARD <br />OF WATER TRUSTEES FOR SAID CITY, UNDER DATE OF ?4AY 17th, <br />1935, IN MAKING GRANTS TO THE CITY OF SOUTIi BEND,AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT, AND TIE <br />CONTROLLER TO TAI SUCH STEPS AS MAY BE NECES- <br />SARY TO COMPLETE THE TERMS OF THE GRANT. <br />IN, _ <br />Be it ordained by the Common Council of the city of South Bend. - <br />Section 1. <br />That the action of the Board of Public Works, acting as <br />a Board of Water Trustees for the city of South Bend under date <br />of May 17, 1935 in passing and approving the attached resolution;., <br />marked Exhibit A, and which action of the Board of Public 7Torks <br />was duly confirmed by the Public Service Commission of Indiana <br />in the following order, as shown in Exhibit B, attached herewith, <br />be ratified and in all things confirmed. <br />Section 2. <br />That the City Controller of the city of South Bend be auth- <br />orized, to receive said sum of money and deposit same in the <br />General Fund of the cite of South Bend; and that the Controller <br />be authorized and directed to remove from the obligation of in- <br />debtedness as shown on the records of the civil city of South Bend <br />the sum representing the indebtedness to the Water 'Vorks in the <br />sum of $349,262.96 as of April 30, 1935. <br />Section 3. <br />That the Board of Public Works acting as Water Works <br />Trustees of the city of South Bend be authorized and directed to <br />make such transfers and cokkeetions of the records of said Water <br />Works to conform with the terms of the resolution attached hereto. <br />Section 4. <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after its passage and signature by the Mayor. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />
