AN <br />c9 N\A 3�1v t <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />SECTION 1. - That the Department of Public Parrs be and the same <br />is hereby authorized and permitted to grant an ease- <br />ment to the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company, <br />permitting it to overflow with water, in the event <br />the same becomes necessary for its purpose, the fol- <br />lowing described real estate, situate in Section 26, <br />Township 38 North, Range 2 East, St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, described as follows, to -wit: <br />Beginning at a point on the left bank of <br />the St. Joseph River, which point is Eleven Hund- <br />red sixty -two and ninety -two hundredths (1162.921) <br />East and Eleven Hundred Two and Ninety -four Hun- <br />dredths (1102.941) feet North of the Southwest <br />corner of said Section Twenty -six (26), Township <br />and Range aforesaid, running thence North Twenty - <br />seven (27) degrees and thirty -seven (37) minutes <br />West Three Hundred sixty -eight and seven tenths <br />(368.7) feet; thence by a six (6) degree curve to <br />the right having a central angle of Fifty -four (54) <br />degrees and a radius of Nine Hundred fifty -five <br />(955) feet, Nine hundred (900) feet; thence North <br />Twenty -six (26) degrees and twenty -three (23) <br />minutes East Six Hundred Seven (607) feet to the top <br />of the North (left) bank of the St. Joseph River; <br />thence North Eighty -seven (87) degrees and fifty -six <br />(56) minutes East Eighty -four and eight - tenths (84.8) <br />feet; thence South Six (6) degrees and ten (10) <br />minutes East Eighteen Hundred eighty -five and six - <br />tenths (1885.6) feet, to the South (left) bank of <br />the St. Joseph River; thence North Fifty -eight (58) <br />degrees and thirty -four (34) minutes West Four <br />Hundred seven and four- tenths (407.4) feet to the <br />place of beginning. <br />Also a strip of land Fifty (50) feet in width <br />lying to the West of and immediately adjacent to the <br />following described line: Beginning at a point on <br />the left bank of the St. Joseph river, which point <br />is Eleven Hundred and Sixty -two and Ninety -two <br />hundredths (1162.92) feet mast and Eleven Hundred two <br />and ninety -four hundredths (1102.94) feet North of <br />the Southwest corner of said Section Twenty -six (26), <br />Township and Rae aforesaid, running thence North <br />Twenty -seven (27) degrees and thirty -seven (37) <br />minutes West Three hundred sixty -eight and seven - <br />tenths (368.7) feet; thence by a six (6) degree <br />curve to the right having a central angle of Fifty- <br />four 54) degrees and a radius of Nine Hundred fifty- <br />five (955) feet, Nine Hundred (900) feet; thence North <br />Twenty -six (26) degrees and twenty- t,�Lree (23) minutes <br />East Six Hundred and Seven (607) feet to the top of <br />the North (left) bank of the St. Joseph River. <br />- 1 - <br />
