Within 10 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection; 7* Within 20 feet upon the approach to any flashing beacon, stop sign, or traffic control signal located at the side of a roadway; 8. Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within 25 Feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, unless the traffic authority indicates a different length by si ns or markings; 9. Within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing; 10. Vjithin 15 feet of the driveway entrance to ?.ny fire station and on the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75 feet of said entance (when properly sign- posted); 11. Alongside or opposite any street excavation or obstruction when such stop - p.;ng, standing, or parking would . obstruct traffic; 12. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or narked at the edge or curb of a street; 13. At any place where official signs prohibit stopping. (b) No person shall move a vehicle not owned by such person into any such prohibited area or away from a curb such distance as is unlawful. ARTICLE V. Operation of Vehicles. Sec. 42. "Stop before entering a preferential street. " - -(a) Those streets and parts of streets described in schedule III attached hereto and .ads a part hereof are hereby declared to be preferential streets for the purpose of this section. (b) When stop signs are erected upon highways intersecting a preferential street at the entrances thereto or at the entrance to any interestion, every driver of a vehicle and every motorman,of a street car shall stop at every such sign or at a clearly marked stop line before entering the intersection except when directed to proceed by a police officer or traffic control signal. Sec. 43. "Stop when traffic obstructed. " - -No driver shall enter an intersection or ) marked crosswalk unless there i.s sufficient space on the other side of the intersection or crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians, notwithstanding any traffic control signal indication to proceed. Sec. 44. "Driving through procession. " - -No driver of a vehicle or motorman of a street car shall drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral or other authorized procession while they are in motion and when such vehicles are con- spicuously designated as required in this ordinance. This provision shall not apply at intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic control signals or police officers.
