<br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY
<br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF
<br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
<br />THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF IRELAND AND MIAMI ROADS
<br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA TO BE AN ECONOMIC
<br />REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A TEN YEAR REAL
<br />PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR
<br />MASSACHUSETTS MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY /SCOTTSDALE MALL
<br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has adopted a
<br />Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Economic Revitalization
<br />Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and
<br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as the
<br />Southeast corner of Ireland and Miami Roads, South Bend, Indiana and which is more
<br />particularly described as follows:
<br />A parcel of real estate in the County of St. Joseph State of Indiana and
<br />described as follows:
<br />A parcel being part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 30,
<br />Township 37 North, Range 3 East, City of South Bend, Centre Township, St.
<br />Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest
<br />corner of said quarter; thence South 89 °54'37" East (bearing assumed) along
<br />the North line of said quarter, a distance of 260.00 feet to the point of
<br />beginning; thence continuing along said North line, a distance of 1052.00 feet,
<br />thence South 00 °05'11" West, a distance of 870.00 feet; thence North
<br />89 °59'16" East, a distance of 53.00 feet; thence South 00 °04'32" West, a
<br />distance of 150.00 feet; thence South 89 055'20" East, to the West line of
<br />Scottsdale Addition, Section "A ", a distance of 484.86 feet; thence South
<br />00 °25'08" East, along said West line to the North right -of -way of U.S. Route

<br />WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Resolution and the public hearing
<br />before the Council has been published pursuant to Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2.5; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all remonstrances
<br />and objections from interested persons; and
