ORDINANCE #______1204 ORDI "ANCE APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS IN PUR_ CHASING A NEW STREET SWEEPER IN CONFORMITY TO MONEY APPRO- PRIATED THEREFORE IN THE 1937 BUDGET FROM THE ELGIN SWEEPER COMPANY. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indi and Section I. That the action of the Board of Public Works under date of March 1, 1937, in regular meeting assembled in entering into a sales contract with the Elgin Sweeper Compenc of Elgin, Illinois a c0pY Of which is hereinafter set forth see exhibit A be ratified by this Common Council, and that the proper officers be authorized and directed to carry out the terms of said contract, Section II. It is the understanding end sense of this body that the money to make the first payment for said sweeper, as appropriated in the 1937 Budget shall be chargeable to the Account set up for that purpose in said Budget for the Street Department of the City of South Bend, which account number in the Budget is Account #I -15, and the Ordirance shall call for no further appropriation. This Ordinance does not call for no further appropriation. This Ordinance does not call for any additional appropriation, but merely ratifies the ex- penditure by the Board of Public Works of the amount set out in the contrnot and empowers the proper officials to carry out the terms of the contract. Section III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from end after its passage.
