ORDL.A.hNCE NO, 3256 AS AMENDED AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1939 FOR THE MLMICIPAL CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA Section 1, Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of 9uth Bend, Indiana: That there be end hereby is levied the following amounts for the year 1939 on each dne Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation of property in the City of South Bend, Indiana, as fixed by the officers of St. Joseph County and the State of Indiana, for the objects named; Section 2. There shell be levied a Poll Tax of Fifty Cents (:x.50) on every male inhabitant of said City, sane and not a pauper, of the age of Twenty -one years and not over the age of Fifty years. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
