JOSEPH COUNTY UNDER ORDER OF THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP <br />TRUSTEE FOR FUNDS TO BE SUPPLIED TO ASSIST THE MUNICI* <br />PAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND IN THE SPONSORING OF PROJECTS <br />PURSUANT TO AN AGSM MENT FILES? WITR THIS BODY RN* <br />TEM INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE BOARD OF PUBLIC <br />WORKS AND SAFETY AND THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP <br />TRUSTEE AND TO BE A FUND KNOWN AS THE <br />SPECIAL W. P. A• FUND. <br />SECTION I - That the sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000900) be <br />and the same is hereby appropriated from a special fund to be cre- <br />ated and known as the Special Worlds Progress Administration Fund <br />of the Municipal City of South Bend for the purchase of materials, <br />equipment, truck hire and other supplies necessary to provide ad- <br />ditional funds for the sponsor's share of Work's Progress Adminis- <br />tration Projects, <br />SECTION II - It is expressly stipulated and agreed in this ordinance <br />that the funds for this appropriation are subject to and limited to <br />the amount provided by monies received by the City Controller of the <br />City of Sooh Bend from the Auditor of St. Joseph County by'virtue <br />of funds paid for the employment of men taken from the relief rolls <br />of Portage Townsg -ip, St. Joseph County, Indiana, which funds are to <br />be provided on order of the Portage Township Trustee directed to the <br />Auditor of St, Joseph County in conformity with a written agreement <br />entered Into by and between the Trustee of Portage Township and the <br />Board of Public Works and Safety of the Municipal City of South Bend <br />under date of May 18, 1938, and approved by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend under like date of May 18, 1938, and it is <br />expressly agreed and stipulated that this amount set forth in this <br />ordinance is the estimated amount to be received during a period of <br />four (4) months from the date of the introduction of this ordinance <br />
