ORDINANCE N0, 3232 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #30�9 ESTABLISHING COUNCILMANIC <br />DISTRICTS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND BIT DIVIDING SAID CITY INTO <br />SIR SUCH COUNCILMANIC DISTRICTS, AND FIXING THEIR BOUNDARIES, <br />AND PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF VOTING MACHINES IN ELECTIONS FOR <br />NOMINATING AND ELECTING OFFICERS OF SAID CITY, AND REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana: <br />SECTION I -That councilmanic districts are hereby established in <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, and all the territory within the <br />'City of South Bend is hereby divided into six such councilmanic <br />districts, numbered First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth., <br />and the boundaries of each of such districts shall be as follows, <br />to -wit: <br />SECTION II -- The First District shall be bounded as follows: Begim - <br />ing at the intersection of the center line of East Colfax Avenue and <br />center of the St, Joseph River; thence west along the center of <br />Colfax Avenue to the center of North Lafayette Boulevard; the north- <br />ward to the center of LaSalle Avenue, then westerly to the intersec- <br />tion of Lincoln Way West; thence northwesterly along the center of <br />Lincoln Way West to the center of South Bendix Drive; thence north <br />along the center of North Bendix Drive to the city limits; thence east <br />along said city limits to the center of Eclipse Place; thence north <br />along the center of said Eclipse Place to the center of Bergan Street; <br />thence east along the center of Bergan Street to the center of Meade <br />Street; thence north along the center of Meade Street projected (said <br />projected lip_e being a western city limits line) to the northerly city <br />limits; thence east along the northerly limits and the center line df <br />said St. Joseph River; thence southerly and easterly along the center <br />of said river to the place of beginning. <br />SECTION III - The Second District shall be bounded as follows: Beginn- <br />
