ORDINANCE N0. 3 3 a7 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND AND FIREIEN'S PENSIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 31 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF INDIANA, 80TH SESSION, 1937 WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, maintains a regular organized and paid fire department, and WHEREAS, the Common Council of said City of South Bend elects to establish a firemen's pension fund and to create a board of trustees and to provide for firemen's pensions, all as provided by an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, being Chapter 31 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Indiana, 80th Session, 1937, duly approved March 2, 1937, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, SEC. 1. That a firemen's pension fund and a board of trustees of said firemen's pension fund are hereby established, SEC. 2. That the provisions of the Acts of the General Assembly of Indiana, being Chapter 31 of said Acts, for the 80th Session, 1937, approved March 2, 1937, relating to firemen's pension funds, shall apply to and govern the firemen's pension fund, the board of trustees thereof, and firemen's pensions in said City of South Bend, SEC. 3. That all appropriations shall be made for said firemen's pension fund hereby created in the following form, to- wit: "To the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension Fund for the exclusive use of said Firemen's Pension Fund." SEC. 4.
