` 4 <br />ORDINANCE No,� 3 3 to Y <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CHARGING OFF OF CER- <br />TAIN AMOUNTS FROM THE RECORDS OF THE CITY MATER <br />WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />WHEREAS, the liquidation of the Union Trust Company <br />of South Bend, Indiana, has been completed and the final <br />dividend under such liquidation has been paid; and, <br />7.HEREAS, after such liquidation there was remain- <br />ing in such depository, representing the meter deposit of the <br />said Water Works, the amount of thirty -one thousand five <br />hundred twelve dollars and ninety -two cents ($31$512.92; and, <br />WUREAS, the State Board of Accounts of the Division <br />of Accounting and StAistics of the Department of Inspection <br />and Supervision of Public Offices of the State of Indiana <br />has authorized the foregoing amount to be charged from the <br />records of the said City Water Works; <br />NOW, THMFORE, be it ordained by the Common <br />Council of the city of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Section 1. That the proper officers and employees <br />of the city of South Bend, Indiana, are hereby authorized to <br />charge from the records of the City Water Works of said city <br />the amount of thirty -one thousand five hundred twelve dollars <br />and ninety -two cents ($31,512.92). <br />Section 2. That when this amount is charged <br />from the said records, the proper entries be made thereon <br />crediting the said meter deposit account with the said amount <br />and debiting the surplus account of said t'later Works in an <br />equal amount. <br />Section 3.
