Resolution No. ft l 3 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />RECOMMENDING THAT PUBLIC INPUT BE ENCOURAGED TO BE RECEIVED ON A SUGGESTED <br />ADDITIONAL STREET LOCATION TO BE CONSIDERED TO BE RENAMED <br />TO HONOR THE LATE REV. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. IN SOUTH BEND INDIANA <br />the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana recognizes that almost a thousand communities <br />across our great county have renamed public streets to honor the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. as depicted in <br />the following map'; and <br />current Indiana law set forth in Indiana Code §36 -7 -4 -405 provides that "streets shall be named or <br />renamed so that their names are easy to understand and to avoid duplication or conflict with other names "; <br />and <br />' 78 Social Education 123 (May, June 2014) Jerry T. Mitchell and Derek H.
