RESOLUTION NO. 2120 -94 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, COMMENDING CORPORAL THOMAS LESZCZ, <br />CAPTAIN BRUCE MICHALOS, CAPTAIN JAMES GADACZ, AND <br />FIREFIGHTER TOM ADAMI FOR THEIR HEROIC PUBLIC <br />SAFETY ACTIONS. <br />'DUiitr00, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes <br />that members of the South Bend Police Department and Fire Department are dedicated to <br />providing quality pubic service for all of our City residents; and <br />Vbtrtas, often, there are times when members of both of these departments <br />perform heroic actions in performing their daily public safety duties; and <br />9Utltrta g, on April 2, 1994, there was a house fire at 734 Elmer Street, where a <br />City resident was trapped in her home; and <br />V btrtas, three (3) members of the South Bend Fire Department placed their own <br />lives in danger when they successfully rescued this individual from her burning residence, <br />and a member of the South Bend Police Department immediately performed CPR on her. <br />Xobl, tijtrt£ort, bt it rtgoTbtb by Or (Common Council of tble City of <br />§outb Neub, lnbialna, 00 £OTtobus: <br />§tetion I. The Common Council of the City South Bend, Indiana, hereby <br />publicly commends, on behalf of all the residents of the City, the following individuals for <br />their heroic public safety efforts performed on April 2, 1994: <br />Corporal Thomas Leszcz of the South Bend Police Department <br />Captain Bruce Michalos of the South Bend Fire Department <br />Captain James Gadacz of the South Bend Fire Department <br />Firefighter Tom Adami of the South Bend Fire Department. <br />§gtti0n II. The South Bend Common Council commends each of these <br />individuals and the departments for which they work for the professional services which <br />they provide on a daily basis to our community, for which we are truly grateful. <br />g:ittti0n III.
