RESOLUTION NO, a / /G- 9Y <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, APPOINTING A CITY NEGOTIATING TEAM FOR <br />POLICE NEGOTIATIONS. <br />Wbtr09, the City of South Bend, has determined that a unified effort would <br />again be in the City's best interests when addressing, through the negotiation process, such <br />items as Police wages, fringe benefits, and working conditions; and <br />"OVlltrMS, the Police Department Salary Ordinance and their Working Agreement <br />expire at the end of this calendar year; and <br />"DVltrtag, the Board of Public Safety will consider a Resolution which will <br />appoint a negotiating team to represent the Board regarding upcoming Police Department <br />matters addressed in the Working Agreement at their next meeting; and <br />Mbtrt88, the Common Council and the City Administration jointly agree that a <br />unified effort through a City Negotiating Team for Police negotiations is the best and most <br />positive approach for the City, with such a team not being considered a "public agency" as <br />defined in Indiana Code § 5- 14- 1.5 -2. <br />POW, *rt£ort, bt it rtoolbtb by tit Common (fountil of * city of <br />Ooutb Vtnb, %,Wgna, as £ollobw <br />95W On I. Bodnar <br />Jeffrey A. Rinard, Alternate and Resource Person <br />Zttti0n H.
