ORDINANCE NO. <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to protect <br />the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, and to protect the value of property in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to effectuate such purpose and <br />i <br />(desire, it becomes necessary to annex the contiguous territory <br />;;hereinafter described. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That: <br />Section 1• <br />The following described contiguous territory and <br />land in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, be, and the same is <br />hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of South Bend, <br />jiIndiana, and the boundaries of said City are hereby extended to <br />;include the said property: <br />"Beginning,on the present South city limits line <br />at a point eleven hundred fifty -five and seven <br />tenths feet (1155.71) East of the West line of <br />Section 19, Township 37 North, Range 3 East, <br />being the Southwest corner of Lot 133 Ridgedale <br />4th Addition; thence South at right angles to <br />said city limits line a distance of three <br />!� hundred and sixty feet (360•) to a point; thence <br />iEast along a line three hundred and sixty <br />feet (360') South of and parallel to said city <br />limits line to a point due South of the Southeast <br />corner of Lot 168 Ridgedale 4th Addition; thence <br />North to the Southeast corner of said Lot 168; <br />i thence West along said South city limits line <br />to the Southwest corner of said Lot 133;Ridgedale <br />4th Addition, the place of beginning." <br />Section 2• <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from <br />and after its passage by the Common Council, -df� -by the Mayor <br />and its legal publication. <br />}¢_ <br />
