ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDINANCE APPROVING 11E LEASING OF CERTAIN LAND OWNED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,•INDIANA, TO GEORGE A. hHRICH, DOING BUSINESS AS SCUM BEND SCREWY PRODUCTS COMPANY FOR WAR PURPOSES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. GvT1EREAS, the South Bend Screw Products Company is en- gaged in the fulfillment of certain important war contracts; and, �NI�REAS, it has an immediate and urgent need for certain additional land upon which to petform some of its work; and, TMREAS, the City of South Bend is the owner of certain necessary adjoining land. NOW, MREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THAT: Section 1. The lease, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and the same is hereby approved by the Common Council and the proper officers of the city of South Bend ordered and authorized to execute said lease, Section 2. That an emergency requiring the immediate passage of this ordinance now exists. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passag,9 by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
