ORDINANCE NO. Y1� <br />An ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract for the <br />performance of certain repairs upon the West abutment of the Sample <br />Street bridge between the City of South Bend., Indiana.. and the <br />C. A. Jordan Company. <br />BEND: <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />SECTION 19 The Common Council of the City of South Bend hereby <br />approves and authorizes the execution of a contract between said City <br />and C. A. Jordan Company* Said contract to provide for the following <br />enumerated repairs to the West abutment of the Sample Street bridge <br />to -wit: <br />To shore the West end of the bridge holding <br />it securely and remove the entire abutment to the present <br />river level; install three weep holes through the abut- <br />ment with a gravel drain bed; relay the stone using <br />only the sound undamaged stone; replace the top stone <br />course with a reinforced concrete pad; extend the <br />present storm sewer drains to the face of the abutment.. <br />and replace sidewalk, pavement and railings that are <br />required to be removed for the execution of this work, <br />SECTION 2* The aforesaid contract shall require the City of <br />South Bend to pay to the C. A.
