ORDINANCE NO. J / An Ordinance appropriating moneys for the purpose of defray - ing the expenses of the Street And Traffic Departments of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1945, and ending December 31, 1945, including all outstanding claims and obliga= tions..and fixing a time when the same shall take effect. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: Section I. That for the expenses of the Street and Traffic Departments for the fixcal year ending December 31, 1945, the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the funds herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same. Such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. Section II. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appropriated out of the "Street and Traffic" Fund of said city, the following: STREET DEPARTMENT, Services - Personal Salaries: Commissioner General Foreman Chief Clerk Time Keeper Master Mechanic Asst. Mechanics (4 9 $2,100.00) Foremen (3 @ $2,100.00) Wages: 10 Special Equip. Operators @ 872V hr. 15 Truck Drivers @ 814X hr. 35 Common Laborers @ 75X hr.
