CONTRACT, PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR LIGHTING THE STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 17th day of July, 1944, between the City of South Bend, a municipal corporation of the State of Indiana, by and through its Board of Public Works, party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as the "City", and Indiana & Michigan Electric_Company., an Indiana corporation, /party of the second part, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor ", pursuant to a resolution of the Board of Public Works passed at a meeting held on the 10th day of July, 1944. W I T N E S S E T H That the parties hereto each in consideration of the agreements on the part of the other herein contained, have mutually agreed and hereby mutually agree as follows: 1. The Contractor shall provide, maintain and operate:: (a) A street lighting system in the City of South Bend, Indiana consisting of not less than One Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty -eight (1288) street lamps supplied from the OVERHEAD DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM of the Contractor. Such overhead lamps shall be as follows: 14 - 10000 lumen incandescent lamps 90 - 6000 lumen incandescent lamps 775 - 4000 lumen incandescent lamps 101 - .2500 lumen incandescent lamps 308 - 1000 lumen incandescent lamps (b) A street lighting system in the City of South Bend, Indiana, consisting of not less than One Thousand Seven Hundred Nineteen (1719) street lamps supplied from the UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM of the Contractor. Such under- ground lamps shall be as follows:
