ORDINANCE NO.-Yo <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />(03,000.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO <br />THE ACCOUNT KNOV T AS ACCOUNT # H -35, EMERGENCY COAL ACCOUNT OF <br />THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM FOR THE PURCHASE OF COAL FOR THE USE <br />AND BENEFIT OF' THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />VYHE_nEAS the budget of the City of South Bend for the <br />year 1942 allowed for the purchase of coal sufficient only to <br />fulfill the needs of the city to and including December 31, 1942, <br />and <br />WHEREAS the Federal Government has advised the storage <br />of all coal needs for the entire winter of 1942 -43, and <br />WHEREAS the City of South Bend does not have sufficient <br />fronds appropriated for the purchase of said additional coal, <br />Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Common Council <br />Of the City of South Bend, Indiana that: <br />1. The amount of three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) <br />be, and the same is, hereby transferred from the General Fund <br />of the City of South Bend to the account of said city know as <br />Account #H -350 Emergency Coal Account of the Board of Public <br />Yiorks and Safety. <br />2. The said three thousand dollars (t3,000.00) be, <br />and the same is, hereby appropriated for use in the purchase <br />of coal for the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />3. An emergency exists for the transfer and appropriation <br />of said sum for the purposes herein set forth. <br />4.
