N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD COMPANY <br />TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN THE LATEST IMPROVED AUTOMATIC <br />FLASHLIGHT SIGNALS AND•AUTOMATIC SHORTARM GATES AT <br />OLIVE AND MEAIE STREETS CROSSINGS WITH ITS RIGHT -OF -WAY <br />IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1• <br />That the New York Central Railroad Company be, and it <br />is hereby, ordered and required to install, within a period of <br />six (6) months from the date of the taking effect of this ordi- <br />nance, and maintain thereafter, the latest improved automatic <br />flashlight signals and automatic shortarm gates at Olive and <br />Meade Streets Crossings with its main line tracks 'in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Section 2: <br />That any person, firm., company or corporation violating <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined for each <br />and every offense not less than Ten ($10.00) Dollars nor more th <br />One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars; and each day's violation shall be <br />considered a separate and distinct offense and shall be punished <br />accordingly. <br />Section 3• <br />That Ordinances Numbered 1467 and 1495 of the municipal <br />ordinances of the. City of South Bend, Indiana, and all other or- <br />dinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby <br />repealed. <br />Section 4• <br />This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its <br />passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and <br />
