ORDINANCE NO.;�5/ 7/ <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF X201000.00 FROM <br />THE FUNDS OF THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, TO THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY <br />WHEREAS, the City Water Works of the City of South <br />Bend is free from the obligation of paying taxes for the <br />support of the municipal government of said City and <br />VVHERFAS, the amount of said taxes, if they were to be <br />paid, would be approximately $20,000.00 and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and members of the Board of the <br />City Water Works Trustees have recommended that a transfer <br />of funds from the Water Works be made. <br />Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that: <br />(1) The transfer of $20,000.00 from the funds of the <br />City Water Works of the City of South Bend to <br />the general fund of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana is hereby authorized and approved. <br />(2) The proper officers of the said City Water Works <br />are hereby directed to take all necessary steps <br />to transfer said funds properly as soon as reason- <br />ably possible. <br />(3) The Common Council specifically finds that this <br />transfer is an emergency matter. <br />(4) This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after its passage by the Common Council <br />i <br />and its approval <br />the Mayor. <br />c <br />/iviemner or common uounc <br />
