City of South Bend Adopting and Approving a Historic Preservation Plan

RESOLUTION NO._ 119 A RESOLUTION OF THE AREA PLAN COMMISSION OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA APPROVING A HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend, St. Joseph County has prepared a Historic preservation Plan for the City of South Bend and submitted to the Common Council of the City of south Send in 1985; and WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Plan for the City of south Bend was revised and expanded in 1995 to include the 1993 Historic Sites and Structures Survey's City of South Bend Summary Report (1993) identifying and rating structures within the City according to their architectural interest and integrity, which Survey Summary Report has been submitted to the Common Council; and WHEREAS, Section 21 -1 a (64) of the South Bend Municipal Code requires that the Area Plan Commission approve the Historic Preservation Plan prior to its adoption by the Common Council of the City of South Bend. Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Area Plan Commissions of St. Joseph County, Indiana as follows: Section I. The Area Plan Commission hereby approves the Historic Preservation Plan of 1985, the Indiana Historic Sites and Structures Survey's City of South Bend Summary Report (1993) and the maps maintained by the Area Plan Commission delineating the boundaries of all Local Historic Districts, in ndiananasu seta forth ins the South Preservation Of Bend MUnci.pal Code, Section South Bend, 21 -1 a (64). Section II. The Secretary of this Plan Commission is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution with the minutes of this meeting to the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Passed by the Area Plan Commission of St. Joseph County, Indiana at its regular monthly hearing on June 20, 1995.
