Bill No. 95 -11 <br />Resotuuon <br />A Resolution of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, Commending <br />LORETTA DUDA <br />for her Eight (8)Years of Dedicated and Conscientious Service as the Council Member At <br />'O btrt4g, the Common Council acknowledges that Council Member Loretta <br />Duda personally decided not to run for a third consecutive Council term as Council <br />Member at Large, and as a result will complete eight (8) years of dedicated service to the <br />City of South Bend on December 31, 1995; and <br />'9v AIC"B, the Common Council notes that Loretta Duda will begin a new public <br />service career on January 1, 1996 as City Clerk of the City of South Bend, Indiana; and <br />'8fl W,999, the Common Council proudly notes with pride that Council Member <br />Duda dedicated herself to many important public projects some of which included her <br />leadership in sponsoring the "open container ordinance" which became landmark legislation <br />and was copied in countless communities throughout the State of Indiana; and her <br />sponsoring the "leaf burning" ordinance which has fostered cleaner air in our community as <br />a result; and <br />'l btVC45, the Common Council notes that because of Council Member Duda!s <br />special inspirational abilities in giving Invocations, that a former Council Member is able to <br />walk better today!! <br />ROD,1bM£ora, be it rtoolbab by tbt Common coutnu of tba cite of NOutb 30tub, <br />Xttblana, as follows: <br />fkttiOtt I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />the Common Council hereby publicly commends and congratulates COUNCIL <br />MEMBER LORETTA DUDA for her eight (8) years of dedicated public service as <br />Council Member at Large of our fine City. <br />*gtti tt II. During her public career as a South Bend Common Council <br />Member at Large, LORETTA DUDA, provided leadership, in such important areas as <br />spearheading important consumer legislation which required the registration of contractors <br />and important public health and safety legislation addressing air quality and alcoholic <br />beverages. <br />fptttion M.
