Bill No. 95 -109 <br />Resolution No. <br />A Resolution of the Common Council of the City of South Bend Commending and Congratulating <br />RONALD G. MARCINIAK <br />for his more than Seven (')Years of Dedicated and Conscientious Service as the Chief of Police of the <br />South Bend Police Denanment <br />'Ofl UT190S, the Common Council acknowledges that Ronald G. Marciniak has <br />proudly and conscientious served as the Chief of Police of the South Bend Police <br />Department for more than seven (7) years; and <br />'O he,VU.0, the Common Council also acknowledges that during his tenure as <br />Chief of Police of the South Bend Police Department that Chief Marciniak worked with a <br />dedicated and committed administrative staff of Assistant Chiefs consisting of: Larry E. <br />Bennett, Uniform Division Chief; Joel H. Wolvos, Services Division Chief; and Donald <br />A. Ruszkowski, Investigative Division Chief; and <br />U trt4g, the Common Council notes that Chief Marciniak was appointed to the <br />South Bend Police Department on July 16, 1970 as a patrol officer and has diligently <br />served in every Police Department rank since his initial appointment; <br />'D btrt", the Common Council notes that under Chief Marciniak's leadership the <br />South Bend Police Department has advanced in many areas including the enlargement of <br />the department in personnel and the offering of more services than ever some of which <br />include: the Services Division, the Detective Bureau, Arson Bureau, enlargement of the <br />Juvenile Aid Bureau, the institution of the Neighborhood Enforcement Service Team <br />(N.E.S.T), Metro S.O.S., Records Division, Training Bureau, the Traffic Bureau, <br />Safetyville, and Crime Prevention/Neighborhood Watch; as well as successfully <br />implementing the first labor- management Working Agreement and effectively working with <br />a Labor- Management Committee for the betterment of the Police Department. <br />Pao, Zberefo", be it rtsolbtt bp tog ummott couttttl o£ the ettp o£ $+mb xtub, <br />ittbfaua, as follows: <br />OUtiOtt I. On behalf of all of the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />the Common Council hereby publicly commends and congratulates RONALD G. <br />MARCINIAK, CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE SOUTH BEND POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT for his more than seven (7) years of dedicated public service in that <br />very important leadership position. <br />gttti= II. During Chief Marciniak's tenure as Chief of Police, he established a <br />cornerstone for integrity and dedication to public safety so that all of the residents of the <br />City of South Bend would have a safer and healthier environment in which to live. <br />SlUtion III. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, sincerely <br />THANKS RONALD G.
