RESOLUTION NO. 207- <br />- ICJ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN <br />AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br />3601 MCGILL <br />AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR <br />PURPOSES OF A PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br />PRECISION MILLWORK & PLASTICS, INC. <br />WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abatement <br />consideration has been filed with the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, requesting that the area commonly known as 3601 McGill, <br />South Bend, Indiana, and which is more particularly described as <br />follows: <br />A part of the NE 1/4 of Section 28, Township 38 North, <br />Range 2 East, City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, described as follows: <br />Commencing at the northeast corner of Section 28; thence <br />South 89048'05" West along the north line of said quarter <br />section a distance of 1305.00 feet; thence South 0000'23" <br />West along the centerline of Kenmore Street a distance of <br />363.70 feet; thence South 9059137" East along said <br />centerline a distance of 486.87 feet to the centerline <br />intersection of Kenmore Street with McGill Street; thence <br />South 80000123" West along the centerline of McGill <br />Street a distance of 303.50 feet; thence North 89059'37" <br />West along said centerline a distance of 270.66 feet; <br />thence North 0000123" East a distance of 35.00 feet to <br />the north right -of -way boundary of said McGill Street and <br />the point of beginning; thence North 0000123" East a <br />distance of 366.65 feet; thence North 89048136" East a <br />distance of 260.00 feet; thence South 0000123" West a <br />distance of 361.04 feet to the north boundary of said <br />McGill Street; thence Southwesterly along said boundary <br />156.61 feet along an arc to the right having a radius of <br />1874.86 feet and subtended by a long chord having a <br />bearing of South 89048136" West and a length of 156.43 <br />feet; thence North 89059'37" of beginning and containing <br />2.172 acres, more or less. <br />Above tract of land is encumbered by an easement <br />described as follows: <br />1. An easement for wastewater and stormwater systems <br />located into, under, upon, over and across a strip <br />of land 12.5 feet in width with its north boundary <br />being the north boundary of the above - described <br />tract of land. <br />and this property has Key Number 25- 1010 - 038514, be designated as <br />an Economic Revitalization Area under the provisions of Indiana <br />Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -1 et sue., and South Bend Municipal Code Sections <br />2 -76 et sec.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Economic Development has concluded an <br />investigation and prepared a report with information sufficient for <br />the Common Council to determine that the area qualifies as an <br />Economic Revitalization Area under Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -1, et <br />sue., and South Bend Municipal Code Sections 2 -76 et seq., and has <br />further prepared maps and plats showing the boundaries and such <br />other information regarding the area in question as required by <br />law; and <br />
