Adler Voluntary Annexation Area - Fiscal Plan 3 <br />SECTION I. INTRODUCTION <br />This Fiscal Plan represents the City of South Bend's (hereinafter, "City ") policy for the annexation <br />of property in Clay Township, St. Joseph County (hereinafter, "Annexation Area "), and was <br />developed through the cooperative efforts of the Are Plan Commission of St. Joseph County and <br />the following City Departments: <br />Department of Law <br />Department of Public Works <br />South Bend Fire Department <br />South Bend Police Department <br />Department of Code Enforcement <br />Department of Community and Economic Development <br />Department of Administration and Finance <br />The Petition for Voluntary Annexation was filed with the City Clerk's office on August 7, 1996. <br />It received first reading by the Common Council on August 12, 1996. <br />SECTION II. GENERAL DATA <br />A. Location <br />The Annexation Area is generally located at the southwest corner of State Road #23 and Maple <br />Lane Avenue. An Annexation Map, Map 1, can be found in the Appendix. <br />B. Legal Description <br />A complete legal description for the Annexation Area can be found in the Appendix, Table 1. <br />C. Contiguity <br />The Annexation Area is at least 1/8 (12.5 %) contiguous to the current City of South Bend limits. <br />Thirteen point nine percent (13.9 %) of the aggregate external boundaries of the Annexation Area <br />are contiguous with the boundaries of the City: <br />Contiguous Non - Contiguous Total <br />125.7 feet 779.1 feet 904.8 feet <br />13.9% 86.1% 100% <br />
