ORDINANCE NO. 3.5--0 AN ORDINANCE REDUCING THE APPROPRIATION FOR BUDGETARY ACCOUNT NO. S43 - STREET AND ALLEY MATERIALS IN THE BUDGET OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND; APPROPRIATING $7500.00 FROM THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO BUDGETARY ACCOUNT NO. 5723 - OTHER EQUIPIENT IN THE BUDGET OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF SOUTH BEND, INDIA1QA, FOR THE USES AND PURPOSES OF SAID ACCOUNT; DECLARING AN EME- RGENCY. WHEREAS, certain funds heretofore appropriated for the purchase of street and alley materials are not to be used during the calendar year 1944, and `,'';JMREAS, the City of South Bend may be able to obtain certain M necessary equipment for the proper functioning of its street deportment, and 'TC4 REAS, the need for such equipment is immediate and great, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend that: 1. The appropriation for Budgetary Account No. 343 - street and alley materials from the budget of the Street Department of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for 1944 be, and the same is hereby, reduced by the amount of $7500.00. 2. The amount of $7500.00 be, and the same is hereby, appropriated from the street and traffic fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes of Budgetary Account No. 5723 - other equipment in the budget of the Street Department of the City of South Bend. to exist. 3. An emergency requiring the said appropriation is hereby declared 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, its Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory legal requirements concerning emergency appropriations.
