V ORDINANCE NO. 9-6-9 / lHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Indiana by a certain bill, known as House Bill 193, approved .March 7, 1945, provided that certain officers of the city shall be paid additional compensation from and out of the funds of a utility owned and operated by it, and ILE.T'AS, by the aforesaid bill such additional compensation was in addition to the annual salary otherwise authorized by law to be paid to said officials, and '1H)!REAS, said bill provided that such additional compensation should not exceed the sum total of p1,200.00*per year, and Tis10HAS, said bill ,ras passed by the General Assembly of Indiana as an emergency matter. NO?11, TIEREFO E, be it ordained by the Com�aon Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that: 1. The following officers of said City, to -wit: the ',Ivor, City Attorney, City .ngineer, City Controller and City Clerk stall be ,aid additional compensation from and out of the funds of the '.inter `Yorks of said City at the rate of $1,200.OJ per year. 2. The proper officers of said city are hereby authorized and directed to make such oayments to said officers beginning with the effective date of this ordinance. 3.
