ORDINANCE NO. .3''3 2, <br />V V 1 Ya1V Y. 1 a4Ci1'JJJ - :1J1Y 1♦ � <br />?TEREAS, a verified statement of the City Engineer has been <br />filed with the Common Council reciting that the Street Department of the <br />City of South Bend has in its possession 6,300 pounds of re- inforcing <br />steel of which not more than 1,600 pounds is of real value and use, and <br />?' :TEREAS, such statement farther sets out that the total value <br />thereof is not more than x50.00, and <br />"EREAS, a verified statement of the Fire Chief of the City of <br />South Bend shows in the possession of said Department some 5001 of used <br />and worn out hose, together with hand couplings, and <br />" 1 AS, such statement further shows that such hose is not <br />worth in excess of 2p"o per foot, and the couplings not more than :2.50 per <br />set, the total having a value of less than 0 50.00. <br />Notrr, TIEER' FO -L, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Send, that: <br />1. The proper officers of the City of South Lend are hereby <br />authorized to sell for cash and without an appraisal that certain 6,300 lbs. <br />of re- inforcing steel now in the possession of the Street Department of the <br />City. <br />2. The proper officers of the City of South Bend are hereby authorized <br />to sell without an appraisal 5001 of 21" hose complete A th couplings, and no <br />longer of any use or value to the Fire Deoartment of the City of South Send, <br />3.
