Whereas, the General Assembly of the State of Indiana at its 1949 session by a certain bills .known as House Bill Not 193, approved March 11, 19499 provided that salaries of certain City officials shall be fixed by the Common Council; and Whereas• the City of South Bends Indiana, comes within the provisions of said bill; and Whereas, said bill was passed by the General Assembly of Indiana as an emergency matter; now, therefore, Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bends Indiana# that: Section 19 The annual salaries for the following City officials and employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be, and the same hereby area fixed* to be effective as of May Is 1949# as follows, to -wits Mayor $109000.00 City Controller 69000.00 City Clerk 4,500.00 County Treasurer Ex Officio City Treasurer 19500.00 City Judge 4*600*00 Members of the Common Couneil.a eaeh 1s000.00 City .Attorney 59000.00 City Civil Engineer 50000.00 County Anditor for services to Civil city 300900 Section 2* That Ordinance Nog 3593 passed March 31, 1947 is hereby repealed.
