ORDINANCE NO. $S %j <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana, that; <br />1. The City of South Bend, Indiana, by and <br />through the proper officers and officials be and it here- <br />by is authorized to lease to the United States of America <br />for its use as a Naval Reserve Armory the following des- <br />cribed real property now owned by the City of South Bend, <br />to -wit; <br />Beginning at a point 195.5 feet west and <br />187.7 feet North of the Southeasterly <br />Corner of Lot 20 in August Beyer's First <br />Addition to the City of South Bend, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, thence North and <br />Northwesterly along the Westerly right of <br />way;'817 North Side Boulevard to the point <br />of intersection of the said Westerly line <br />and the North and South center line of <br />Notre Dame Avenue extended; thence due <br />South to the St. Joseph River, thence <br />Southerly and Easterly along the meander- <br />ing line of the St. Joseph River to a <br />point due West of the point of beginning, <br />thence due East to North Side Boulevard, <br />and the point of beginning, all in the <br />East half of the Southeast Quarter. of <br />Section 12, Township 37 North, Range 2 <br />East, South Bend, St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, containing approximately 6.8 <br />acres, more or less. <br />2. Upon compliance with the provisions of Chapter <br />131 of the Acts of the Indiana General Assembly for 1947 <br />the lease hereby authorized shall be valid without further <br />approval by the Common Council. <br />3.
