, � G 4-- VMREAS, construction of residences and other structures in the City of South Bend °i's proceeding at a rapid rate, and SN =AS, it is necessary to arrange for the more speedy and certain inspection of all plumbing installations for the protection of the health of the citizens of South Bend. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that: 1. There is hereby created a position of Assistant Plumbing Inspector for the City of South Bend, Indiana; said position of Assistant Plumbing Inspector to be subject to all legal requirements of the Alumbing Inspector already created by law except that said Assistant Plumbing Inspector shall be subject to the supervision of the Plumbing Inspector. 2. That the Assistant Plumbing Inspector of the City of South Bend be paid during the calendar year of 1946 at the rate of Twenty-Three Hundred Forty ($2340.00) Dollars per annum. 3. That there be, and there is hereby, appropriated for the payment of the salary of such employee: of the City of South Bend for the remainder of the calendar year 1946, Nine Hundred Seventy -Five ($975.00) Dollars. 4. That the said Common Council finds the existence of an emergency requiring the foregoing appropriation. 5.
