Dun Fuerbrimer Annexalion Area H. Tax Rate The tax rates used are those of 1996 payable in 1997. The Township Rate will decrease by $.293 per $100.00 of assessed valuation with the deletion of the Fire Fighting Fund and Cumulative Fire assessments. The tax rate for the Annexation Area will increase by $7.024 with the addition of the City and Town Rate, the Redevelopment District Rate and the South Bend Transpo Rate. The net increase in property taxes will be $6.4814 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. Table 2 shows representative tax rate information as published by the St. Joseph County Auditor. I. Assessments Net Assessment 1996 payable 1997, St. Joseph County Auditor property tax records: Net Assessment: $12,400.00 (includes entire 10 acre parcel) J. Councilmanic District The Annexation Area will be in Councilmanic District 1. K. Comparable Area The Comparable Area is located approximately 1,000' south and 1,000' west of the Annexation Area. It is currently vacant, but zoned for industrial uses. The area is comparable in topography and land use and density to the Annexation Area. L. Hiring Plan It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES A. Public Works Since the Annexation Area is a parcel of land that will be joined to a parcel that already has existing services, no new utilities are required. B. Police Department The Annexation Area will be added to Beat 22. Police coverage can be expected to begin shortly after the effective date of the annexation.
