Dun Fuerbrimer Annexalion Area <br />H. Tax Rate <br />The tax rates used are those of 1996 payable in 1997. <br />The Township Rate will decrease by $.293 per $100.00 of assessed valuation with the deletion of <br />the Fire Fighting Fund and Cumulative Fire assessments. <br />The tax rate for the Annexation Area will increase by $7.024 with the addition of the City and <br />Town Rate, the Redevelopment District Rate and the South Bend Transpo Rate. <br />The net increase in property taxes will be $6.4814 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. Table 2 <br />shows representative tax rate information as published by the St. Joseph County Auditor. <br />I. Assessments <br />Net Assessment 1996 payable 1997, St. Joseph County Auditor property tax records: <br />Net Assessment: $12,400.00 (includes entire 10 acre parcel) <br />J. Councilmanic District <br />The Annexation Area will be in Councilmanic District 1. <br />K. Comparable Area <br />The Comparable Area is located approximately 1,000' south and 1,000' west of the Annexation <br />Area. It is currently vacant, but zoned for industrial uses. The area is comparable in topography <br />and land use and density to the Annexation Area. <br />L. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Since the Annexation Area is a parcel of land that will be joined to a parcel that already has <br />existing services, no new utilities are required. <br />B. Police Department <br />The Annexation Area will be added to Beat 22. Police coverage can be expected to begin shortly <br />after the effective date of the annexation. <br />
