ORDINANCE NO. 41Z (A3 AMENDED) <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATIN3 MONEYS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING <br />THE EXPENSES OF ALL BUDGET - OPERATED DEPARTMENTS OF THE CIVIL <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BFDINNING <br />JANUARY 1, 1948, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1948) INCLUDING DEPART - <br />MENTS, FUNDS AND COMMISSIONS FOR-WHICH MONEY IS APPROPRIATED, <br />IN WHOLE OR IN PART, FROM FUNDS OTHER THAN THE GENERAL FUNDS <br />OF SAID CITY, TO WIT: STREET, TRAFFIC AND PARK DEPARTMENTS, <br />FnMIENIS PENSION AND POLICWEN'S PENSION FUNDS, AND THE CITY <br />PLAN COMMISSION: PROVIDING THAT SUCH APPROPRIATIONS SHALL <br />INCLUDE ALL OUTSTANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGATIONS: FIXIN.i THE <br />SALARIES OF ALL CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES: PROVIDIM PAID <br />_ VACATIONS FOR CERTAIN OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES: REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: <br />PROVIDING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. <br />Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, that: <br />Section 1. <br />For the expenses of the City Government, its various departments, <br />funds, commissions and institutions for the fiscal year ending December <br />31, 1948, the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered <br />set apart out of the funds hereinafter named, and for the purposes herein- <br />after specified, subject to the laws governing the same. The sums herein <br />appropriated shall be deemed to include all expenditures authorized to be <br />made in said year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated or provided <br />by law. <br />Section 2. <br />The annual salaries for the officials and employees of the said <br />City be, and the same are hereby, fixed for the fiscal year ending <br />December 31, 1948, in accordance with the schedules set forth in <br />connection with the various appropriations hereinafter made. <br />Section 3. <br />All regular officials, and employees of said City shall be <br />entitled to paid vacations in accordance with the following schedule, <br />to -wit: <br />Officials and employees in the first year of <br />employment ------------ no vacation. <br />Officials and employees in the second year of <br />employment ---------------------------- 7 days paid vacation. <br />Officials and employees in the third year or <br />more of employment ------------------ - - - - -- 15 days paid vacation. <br />Section 4. <br />For the fiscal year ending December 31, 1948, there is hereby <br />appropriated out of the funds of said City hereafter shown: <br />-1- <br />
