Annexation Area <br />H. Tax Rate <br />The tax rates used are those of 1996 payable in 1997. <br />The Township Rate will decrease by $.5426 per $100.00 of assessed valuation with the deletion of <br />the Fire Fighting Fund, the Fire Debt Fund and the Cumulative Fire assessments. <br />The tax rate for the Annexation Area will increase by $7.024 with the addition of the City and <br />Town Rate, the Redevelopment District Rate and the South Bend Transpo Rate. <br />The net increase in property taxes will be $6.4814 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. Table 2 <br />shows representative tax rate information as published by the St. Joseph County Auditor. <br />I. Assessments <br />Net Assessment 1996 payable 1997, St. Joseph County Auditor property tax records: <br />Net Assessment: $1,000.00 <br />J. Councilmanic District <br />The Annexation Area will be in Councilmanic District 1. <br />K. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />An existing 8 -inch sanitary sewer and a 12 -inch water main is available on Brick Road, <br />approximately 1,800 feet east of the Annexation Area. An existing 8 -inch sewer and a 10 -inch <br />water main is available in William Richardson Drive, and will be available in the new W. <br />Cleveland Road subdivision. It is noted that easements may need to be acquired for the sewer and <br />water. <br />Sanitary sewer and water facilities have the capacity to serve the Annexation Area. <br />Public improvements made within the Annexation Area should be at the expense of the developer. <br />Improvements will be able to be maintained without additional expense. <br />
