6. St. Joseph shall own and supply South Bend with one (1)advance support vehicle <br />with all necessary equipment and with three (3) heavy duty ambulances with all <br />necessary equipment, including any additional equipment required by the ALS <br />Committee of St. Joseph County. St. Joseph may delay delivery of the advance support <br />vehicle until May 1, 1998 and receive an appropriate credit on its monthly payment. St. <br />Joseph shall pay to South Bend an annual payment of $1,360,789.00 in 1998, payable <br />in equal monthly increments of $113,399.09, which annual payment shall be increased <br />in 1999 and 2000 by 4% each year and shall be appropriately increased by the parties <br />in 2001 and 2002 to reflect additional costs to South Bend. Parties to meet by June 1, <br />2000 to discuss annual payments by St. Joseph to South Bend for the years 2001 and <br />2002. If the parties are unable to reach an agreement by October 15, 2000 either party <br />may terminate this agreement by written notice to the other not later than November 15, <br />2000. In November 1998 parties agree to review revenues collected by South Bend <br />under this agreement. In addition St. Joseph shall reimburse South Bend for any <br />necessary costs it actually incurs in connection with any on -duty injury suffered in <br />connection with the agreement, either under I.C. 36 -8 -4 -5 or, if recall is necessary, for <br />the replacement cost of the firefighter so injured. Parties agree that there will be a <br />fourth heavy duty ambulance with all necessary equipment, to be supplied by St. <br />Joseph and used by South Bend as a reserve ambulance, and that this vehicle need <br />not be delivered to South Bend until April 1, 1998. <br />7. Until such time as modified by the joint board, South Bend may charge the following <br />maximum fees: <br />a. For Basic Life Support Services, a sum not to exceed $200.00; <br />b. For Advanced Life Support Services, a sum not to exceed $300.00; <br />c. For Non - transport calls at which ALS treatment is given, a sum not to <br />exceed $75.00. <br />d. In addition to the above, a $5.00 per mile charge (one -way) shall be imposed; <br />e. In addition to the above, South Bend shall charge an additional $60.00 fee to <br />non - residents of St. Joseph County. <br />
