Kidder Annexation <br />J. Councilmanic District <br />The Annexation Area will be in City Councilmanic District 1. <br />K. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of <br />other governmental units, although the City is not required to hire any employees whose jobs have <br />been eliminated by an annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />An existing 8 -inch sanitary sewer runs north in an easement along the west side of Olive Road, <br />from W Cleveland Road to the Toll Road. An existing 36 -inch gravity flow sanitary sewer in <br />Cleveland Road extends approximately 720 feet west of the intersection of Olive and Cleveland <br />Roads. West of this point, the sewer is a force main and not available for sewer taps. This sewer <br />has the capacity to handle the additional load of the Annexation Area. No storm sewer exists <br />abutting this property. <br />Potential public works projects are currently being studied by the Redevelopment Commission. <br />Any public improvements made within the annexed area shall be at the expense of the developer. <br />Additional right -of -way will be required, and be dedicated through the subdivision approval <br />process. <br />The Department of Public Works will be able to maintain any additional public improvements <br />without additional capital expense. <br />The South Bend Water Works has a 12 -inch water main in Brick and W. Cleveland Roads. No <br />additional improvements would be needed to provide water to the annexed area. <br />The Department of Public Works and the South Bend Water Works would not anticipate any <br />additional costs to provide services to the Annexation Area. <br />Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by I.C. 36- 9 -22 -2, I.C. <br />8 -1.5 -3 and -4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water Works and Sewer Utility. <br />
