RESOLUTION NO. o2%36' lg <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br />1108 S. High Street <br />AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A <br />FIVE (5) YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br />Syscon International, Inc. <br />WHEREAS, a petition for personal property tax abatement consideration has been <br />filed with the City Clerk for consideration by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, requesting that the area commonly known as 1108 S. High Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, and which is more particularly described as follows: <br />PARCEL I: A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 37 North, <br />Range 2 East, in the City of South Bend, Indiana, which part is bounded by a line <br />running as follows, viz: Beginning at a point where the East line of High Street in <br />Martin L. Wenger's Third Addition to the City of South Bend intersects the South <br />boundary line of the right -of -way of the New York Central Railway Company <br />(formerly the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway Company); thence running <br />due South on the East line of High Street (312.36) feet; thence North (89) degrees <br />(38) minutes East (96.75) feet; thence North parallel to the East line of High Street <br />(7) feet (3 -1/2) inches; thence North (89) degrees (38) minutes East a distance of <br />(110.16) feet to the Westerly line of a wall; thence North (42) feet along the Westerly <br />line of said wall; thence West (0.9) feet along the South line of a wall; thence North <br />(83.3) feet along the West line of a wall; thence East (0.9) feet along the North line <br />of a wall; thence North along West line of a wall and its projection to the <br />Northeasterly boundary (25.37) feet and which point is (209.35) feet due East of the <br />East line of High Street; thence Northwesterly (158.92) feet to a point on the South <br />boundary line of the New York Central Railroad Company; thence Norhtwesterly <br />along said South Boundary (99.86) feet, more or less, to the place of beginning. <br />Also, a permanent nonexclusive easement for egress and ingress described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the East line of High Street which is (312.36) feet South of <br />the intersection of the East line of High Street and the Southerly right -of -way line of <br />the New York Central Railroad in the City of South Bend, Indiana; thence North (89) <br />degrees and (38) minutes East, a distance of (96.75) feet; thence South (16) feet; <br />thence South (89) degrees and (38) minutes West, a distance of (96.75) feet, to the <br />East line of High Street; thence North along the East line of High Street (16) feet to <br />the place of beginning. <br />
