Park Annexation Area <br />H. Tax Rate <br />The tax rates used are those of 1997 payable in 1998. <br />The Township Rate will decrease by $.5091 per $100.00 of assessed valuation with the deletion of <br />the Fire Fighting Fund, the Fire Debt Fund and the Cumulative Fire assessments. <br />The tax rate for the Annexation Area will increase by $7.3263 with the addition of the City and <br />Town Rate, the Redevelopment District Rate and the South Bend Transpo Rate. <br />The net increase in property taxes will be $6.8172 per $100.00 of assessed valuation. Table 2 <br />shows representative tax rate information as published by the St. Joseph County Auditor. <br />I. Assessments <br />Net Assessment 1997 payable 1998, St. Joseph County Auditor property tax records: <br />Net Assessment: $2,230.00 <br />J. Councilmanic District <br />The Annexation Area will be in Councilmanic District 1. <br />K. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Sewer - An existing 15 -inch sanitary sewer is located at the southeast comer of Olive Road and <br />Brick Road. A 15 -inch sanitary sewer extension of approximately 1,300 feet in Brick Road would <br />be required by the developer. The lift station for this sewer connection is capable of handling the <br />additional load. <br />Water - There is an existing 12 -inch water main on the south side of Brick Road. A 16 -inch main <br />is proposed to be installed, in 1998, along Orange Road in connection with a new water tower off <br />of Adams Road. <br />No waivers for water or sewer exist on file. It is noted that easements may need to be acquired for <br />the sewer and water. <br />
