REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 17.2014 90 <br />SET HEARINGS OF DISCIPLINARY CHARGES — THEODORE ROBERT <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Jones seconded by Mr. Taylor and carried, the hearing of disciplinary charges <br />for Patrolman Theodore Robert was set for January 30, 2015, with the Pre- Hearing at 8:30 a.m. and <br />the Hearing at 10:30 a.m. in the 13" Floor Boardroom. <br />SET HEARINGS OF DISCIPLINARY CHARGES — DAVID GNOTH <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Jones and carried, the hearing of disciplinary charges <br />for Patrolman David Gnoth was set for February 2, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. in the 13' Floor Boardroom. <br />APPROVE SHOTSPOTTER POLICY <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Taylor and carried, the Board approved the Shot <br />Spotter Policy in final form. <br />APPROVE 2015 SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS <br />In a letter to the Board, Police Chief Ronald Teachman recommended that the following Special <br />Police Commissions be renewed and or issued for the year 2015: <br />SOUTH BEND POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Traffic Enforcement Officers <br />Jerrid Arnold <br />Shawn Brugh <br />Daniel Bowman <br />Richard Cowper <br />Tom Camren <br />Dennis Eckenberger <br />Emil Eckenberger <br />Garnett Keeys <br />Barbara Leavell <br />Patrick Leavell <br />Kyle Lindzy <br />William Marshall <br />Michael Rhoades <br />Elton Thompson <br />Steven Wieger <br />Michael David <br />It is my recommendation that the following South Bend Police Department personnel be <br />commissioned as members of the South Bend Police Department Special Police Unit, but do not <br />have the authority to be armed nor do they have powers of arrest: Public Service Officers <br />It is also my recommendation that the Special Police Commissions be issued or renewed <br />for the following South Bend Police Department Public Service Officers. These Commissions <br />do not include the powers of arrest nor the carrying of a weapon: <br />Angela Davis <br />Ashley Gage <br />Maria Scherer -Lutz <br />Judy Withers <br />Elaine Rau <br />Luis Salazar <br />Dan Galeziewski <br />Antonio Salazar <br />Tracy Wright <br />SOLTH BEND PARK DEPARTMENT <br />The following Park Department personnel are authorized to carry a South Bend Police <br />Department radio and take Police reports in South Bend Parks and Recreation properties. The <br />commission does not authorize the powers of arrest, or the carrying of the weapon: <br />Rob Markovich <br />Phil Marek <br />Lang Heckman <br />Steven Kingsbury <br />Steve Orlowski <br />Danielle Alexander <br />Dominick Ciesielski <br />The following Park Department personnel are authorized to carry a South Bend Police <br />Department radio but do not have the authority to be armed nor do they have the powers of <br />arrest: <br />Phil St.Clair <br />
