RESOLUTION NO. 2-1 � R - 1 <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br />4401 WEST CLEVELAND ROAD EXTENSION <br />TO BE AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA FOR PURPOSES OF A <br />FIVE (5) YEAR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT FOR <br />ADAPTO- INDIANA, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has adopted a <br />Declaratory Resolution designating certain areas within the City as Economic Revitalization <br />Areas for the purpose of tax abatement consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designated the area commonly known as 4401 <br />West Cleveland Road and which is more particularly described as follows: <br />A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 38 North, Range 2 East described <br />as follows: Commencing at an iron pipe marking the North Quarter Section corner of said <br />Section 21; thence West, on the North line of said Section and the centerline of Brick Road, <br />1322.04 feet; thence South 530 feet; thence West, parallel with the North line of said <br />Section, 138.98 feet; thence South 445 feet, more or less to the place of beginning; thence <br />continuing South 1218 feet more or less to a point on the Northerly right of way line on the <br />new Cleveland Road; thence Westerly along said Northerly right of way 550.29 feet to the <br />Southeast corner of Trans Tech Properties Minor Subdivision, recorded as Document <br />Number 8614287; thence North 795.17 feet to the Northeast corner of said Subdivision; <br />thence West along the North line of said Plat 561.72 feet to the Northwest corner of said <br />Subdivision; thence North 260 feet, more or less; thence East to the place of beginning. <br />with said real estate having the following Key Number 25- 1013 - 020704, as an Economic <br />Revitalization Area; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of a Declaratory Resolution and the public hearing <br />before the Council has been published pursuant to Indiana Code 6 -1.1- 12.1 -2.5; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council held a public hearing for the purposes of hearing all <br />remonstrances and objections from interested persons; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the qualifications for an economic <br />revitalization area have been met. <br />
