, ot ix e! <br />C` 4O <br />v +' <br />„wy <br />The South Bend Common Council <br />January 12, 2015 <br />Members of the Common Council <br />4°i Floor County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />The attached Bill was filed with the Office of the City Clerk this aRemoon. <br />We, the original sponsors of the ordinance which created various policies and procedures addressing city - <br />owned technologies, Facebook Standards and social media for the Council effective February 2, 2015, believe <br />that the attached Bill helps to clarify the "best practices" incorporated into Ordinance No. 10343 -14. <br />We are asking for a suspension of the rules this evening so that the Bill may have First Reading this evening, <br />and then be referred to the Information and Technology Committee for further vetting. As with the filing of <br />the original bill on November 24, 2014, we are open to your ideas and suggestions, so that the best possible <br />policies and procedures are in place to govem the Common Council.
