WCO, Inc. Annexation Area j <br />K. Hiring Plan <br />It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any <br />other governmental entities. The Penn Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. <br />SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />A. Public Works <br />Sewer - An existing 15 -inch sanitary sewer is located on the north side of Ireland Road. There is <br />a 30 -inch sewer in Ironwood Road, but it is not practical to use it. <br />Water - There is an existing 12 -inch water main on the south side of Ireland Road which could <br />provide service. There is sufficient flow and pressure, and therefor adequate capacity. <br />Drainage - Clyde Creek runs through the Annexation Area. It may be used to dispose of storm <br />water in accordance with regulation by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and <br />Environmental Management, as well as the U.S. Corps of Engineers. <br />Public .Streets - No new public streets are proposed. The Street Department currently performs <br />street sweeping, flushing, snow removal and street maintenance on Ironwood and Ireland Roads. <br />No additional roadway mileage will be increased with this annexation. <br />Street Lighting - Some street lighting will be needed on Ireland Road. The capital cost is <br />estimated at less than $2,000. Annual operating, cost will be less than 51,000. The developer <br />within the Annexation Area will be required to pay for the full capital cost associated with the <br />installation of the street lights. The City- will be responsible for the annual operating cost. <br />Waivers - No waivers of annexation are in effect. <br />Revenue to the Water Works and the Division of Environmental Services will be sufficient to <br />provide operation and maintenance of the water distribution facilities, the sewage collection <br />facilities, solid waste and yard waste pickup, as well as recycling services. <br />When fully developed, this annexation area is not expected to require major capital outlays for <br />public works vehicles or equipment. <br />Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by I.C. 36- 9 -22 -1 <br />I.C. 8 -1.5 -3 and 4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water Works and Sewer <br />Utility. <br />
