Staszewski Annexation Area 5 ' I. Assessments 1998 payable 1999, St. Joseph County Auditor property tax records: Land: $1,970 Improvements: $9,600 Non - Profit: $0.00 Net: $8,570 J. Municipal Legislative District The Annexation Area will be in the 1st District. K. Hiring Plan It is anticipated that this annexation will not result in the elimination of jobs for employees of any other governmental entities. The German Township Trustee has been notified of this annexation. SECTION III. MUNICIPAL SERVICES A. Public Works Sewer - An existing 8 -inch sanitary sewer is located on Olive Road. It has sufficient capacity to service this site. Water - There is an existing 16 -inch water main on Olive Road. There is more than adequate flow foe new customers on Olive Road. Olive Road in front of the Annexation Area was annexed into the City in December of 1998. The Street Department currently maintains the pavement, sweeps, and clears snow. The City will bear the expense of electricity for street lights from the General Fund. Street lights have been ordered in connection with the previous annexation. The City is currently studying the infrastructure needs of the general area to promote continued economic development. Traffic capacity and safety is part of those studies. The study is being done on a schedule to allow improvements to the roadway and storm drainage as early as 2001. There are no waivers of right of remonstrance on file. Extensions of, or taps into sanitary sewer and water lines shall be governed by I.C. 36- 9 -22 -2, I.C. 8 -1.5 -3 and 4, and the rules and regulations of the South Bend Water )Lerkc and Sewer Utility.
