Resolution No. 21g O 0 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, PUBLICLY COMMENDING ANN E. KOLATA, DEPUTY EXECUTIVE <br />DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />'ItiCCVM, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, notes that in <br />1979, Ann E. Kolata was named Deputy Director of the Redevelopment Department; and <br />'Q &Veag, the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, recognizes that <br />since January of 1989, Ann E. Kolata, has been the Redevelopment Director; and <br />'011l"00, through the guidance and leadership of Ann E. Kolata, development has <br />prospered resulting in new businesses being attracted to the City of South Bend which have <br />created a multitude of employment opportunities; and <br />'b &rM, some of the many projects during Ann's tenure include: the 1st Bank - <br />Marriott Hotel project in the downtown, Stanley Coveleski Stadium, the East Bank, Monroe <br />Park, renovation of the Moms Performing Arts Center, and the Blackthorn development.; and <br />'illb"900, since 1985 Ann has become the expert on tax incremental financing <br />throughout the state of Indiana and has effectively used it as a redevelopment tool. <br />04w, tbadore, tit it resolbtb by tlit Common COAMCU of tbit (city of 0outll WO, <br />Miami, so £0Tl*0: <br />Section I. The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereby publicly commends <br />and congratulates Ann E. Kolata for her many years of dedicated public service to the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. <br />Section 11. The Council notes with pride that thanks to the pioneering efforts of Ann E. Kolata <br />a/k/a "Ms. TIF', a multitude of projects have been realized throughout our community which have <br />provided a new, exciting and ever - changing city landscape. <br />Section III. The Common Council wishes Ann and her husband, Jim, the very best and hopes that <br />they both will continue to have a strong commitment and positive influence on our community. <br />Section IV.
