<br />OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY; AND THE SUM
<br />OF $160750*00 FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER Q.11, SALARIES, FIRE DEPART.
<br />MENT, TO ACCOUNT NUMBER Q -7249 MOTOR EQUIPMENT, FIRE DEPARTMENT;
<br />AND THE SUM OF $100#00 FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER Z•216, TRAVELING
<br />EXPENSES, POLICE PENSION FUND, TO ACCOUNT NUMBER Z.36, OFFICE
<br />SUPPLIES AND PRINTING RECORDS, POLICE PENSION FUND, AND
<br />DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY#
<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend# Indiana:
<br />Section 1* That the following money be, and the same hereby is,
<br />transferred from Account Number 68 -B. Building Contingent Fund# Office of the
<br />Board of Public Works and Safety, to, and is appropriated for the uses and
<br />purposes of the following budgetary item in the budget of the Office of the
<br />Board of Public Works " Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the
<br />year 19480 to -wit: To Account Number H -223, Heat., Office of the Board of
<br />Public Works and Safety, $2#000.00*
<br />Section'2* That, the following money be, and the same hereby is,
<br />transferred from Account Number Q -11, Salaries, Fire Department, to, and
<br />is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary item
<br />in the budget of the Fire Department of the City of South Bond, Indiana.,
<br />for the year 1948, to -wit: To Account Number Q.724, Motor Equipment, Fire
<br />Department, $15,750 *00*
<br />Section 3* That the following money be, and the some hereby is,
<br />transferred from Account Number Z•2160 Traveling Expenses, Polio* Pension
<br />Fund, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following
<br />budgetary item in the budget of the Police Pension Func)6f the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, for the.year 1948, to -wits To Account Number Z-36,
<br />Office Supplies and Printing Records, Police Pension Fund, $100 *000
<br />Section 4o That the above sums of money are required for the proper
<br />operation and function of the aforementioned Departments of the Government
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is declared
<br />to exist concerning the foregoing transfers and appropriations•
<br />Section 5* That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
<br />and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor., and
<br />the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to extraordinary
<br />emergency appropriations*
