ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED INTO <br />ON BEHALF OF THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, BY ITS BOARD OF WATER WORKS COMMISSIONERS, AND <br />THE LAYNE NORTHERN COMPANY, INC., OF MISHAWAKA, INDIANA, <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO COMPLETE WELLS, KNOWN AS <br />CONTRACT NO. 119 IN THE SUM OF $311,000.00. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana; <br />Section 1. That a certain contract, known as Contract No. 11, made <br />and entered into on May 2, 1949, by the South Bend Water Works of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through its Board of Water Works <br />Commissioners, and the Layne Northern Company, Inc., of Mishawaka, Indiana, <br />in the sum of Thirty -Four Thousand ($311,000.00) Dollars, which is made <br />a part hereof and a copy of which is on file in the Office of the City <br />Clerk, be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed, ratified and <br />approved. <br />Section 2.
