ORDINANCE NO. 4' /,S AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL BARRETT LAW CLERK; FIXING THE SALARY THEREOF, AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED ($2,200.00) DOLLARS TO THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNT OF 1949 BUDGET: OFFICE OF CITY TREASURER, D-11, SALARIES, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Section 1, That an appointment of an additional Barrett Law Clerk in the office of the City Treasurer is hereby authorized. Section 2. That the salary of said additional Barrett Law Clerk shall be Two Thousand Foud Hundred ($211100.00) Dollars per year, which salary shall be paid at such times as other salaries are paid. Section 3. That there bd and there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes of the following indicated account of the 19119 budget, to wit; Office of the City Treasurer: D-11., Salaries ....................$2,200,00 Section h. That the above sum of money is required for the proper operation and function of the aforementioned Department of the Government of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the appointment of an additional Barrett Law Clerk and of the foregoing appropriation. Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, and the ful— fitment of all statutory requirements relating to extra- ordinary emergency appropriations.
